1st September 2009. It was 2 p.m. and I was at college when I got a call from my father’s office, HDFC Standardized Life Insurance, saying that my father had suddenly fallen unconscious. Dutifully they had admitted him in a Nursing Home nearby, at Kandivili.

Our community’s only interaction with him would be once in a year when he helped us in the organization of Nagar Sankirtan, a spiritual event, in Poona, a city close to Mumbai.
