Two Mothers, Eternally
Stories from Radhagopinath Community of Love
My daughter passed away afflicted by a disease when she was only in her teens. Trauma gnawed at me relentlessly. At this hour of need, Shyamala Gopi provided solace simply by her presence: being of the same age as my departed daughter, she felt like a daughter to my heart. Seeing my resiliency in her association, her parents, members of our congregation, encouraged her to stay at our house in Poona. During that time Radhanath Swami visited us and spoke words that my subconscious self perhaps yearned to hear. “Shymala Gopi is your daughter now, so don’t feel lonely”.
Circumstantially I had to shift to Mumbai. Shyamala came along; she risked her comfort for mine. “Rita and her husband Bimal have been very kind to me. They have encouraged their daughter to stay with me so that I don’t feel lonely,” I worded the gratitude I felt before Radhanath Swami. A quick wave of satisfaction swept across his face before an intense expression took over. It looked like he had a serious point to put across. “This is what I want in the congregation. Each one should feel so much in the heart for the other,” he spoke in a hushed tone. Then with a radiant smile expanding across his face, he turned to Shyamala. “Remember. Eternally you have two mothers.”

This pastimes is so touching. Even in the face of such pain, krishna is showing us how the key is that in association of devotee we gain strength to face everything. Maharaj expects this of his disciples that we learn to feel the pain of others and go out of our way to give relief. What is more glorious than that?

We too have to remember eternally that we have two fathers – out of them one is Radhanath Swami, who is always accompaning us in our thick and thin, through his personal self, through his instructions and through his well trained congregation members. So great is the dedication of Shyamala Gopi, Rita and Bimal Sud.

This is a reflection of the love that we might expect to find in the spiritual world – mother yashoda showers the same affection to krishna’s friends that she showers on krishna there is so much intimacy there.

radhanath swami is a transcendental glue which binds and keep devotees intact from separating or spliting, hence the congregation of devotees day by day increasing by many folds,,
Maharaj’s compassion’s always guide us to face any uncertainty situations in our life and it is very painful to face them but yet Maharaj’s mercy is there which can come through in any form.

RadhaGopinath temple seems to vibrate the Vaikunta mood; everyone lovingly wanting to serve another following the wonderful selfless attitude of Radhanath Swami.
It is said that the tree is judged by its fruits. We can just realize how amazingly Radhanath swami has trained his students that there is only loving unity amongest them and no ‘me – mine’ tendancy. Really Radhanath swami has build a amazing spiritual family. thank you mother for sharing….
