Once Radhanath Swami told me that I wear dhoti and kurta, traditional Vedic attire, for temple festivals. A casual suggestion from his side, it felt like a golden opportunity from my perspective. Here was a chance to please him, to reciprocate with the shower of his selfless affection. I adapted myself to the new wears.
Later, I discovered that all my friends had a similar dhoti-kurta story.
I mulled over it. Most aspects of Vedic culture are too alien in the modern context. Though they might appeal to the intellect, to adapt to any of them is hard without the motivating factors of inspiration and love.

Lot to learn here, i just read Uniform means – Clothing of distinctive design worn by members of a particular group as a means of identification. Dhoti-Kurta is our temple uniform! it is always good to keep one-set ready all the time.

Dhoti kurta a tradtional vedic attire.It gives us benifit of simple living and high thinking.A white dhoti and kurta a good look also.When Maharaj tells us to do it then we must try our best to follow the dress code.Thank u for sharing.I will also try it from now onwards.(at home first).

Dhoti kurta is a vedic attire.in this modern world rarely people wear dhoti kurta.all wear western attire.

In fact apart from cultural and spiritual aspects, the humble dhotie kurta can bring a miraculous transformation in the world if adopted and solve the problems of pollution of water and atmosphere greatly. It can also protect agriculture , increase food security, prevent poverty and starvation, create employment, equity and independence, reduce urban migration and so on. The simple living can solve practically all economic , social and medical problems.
Maharaj’ s vision is vast and we would do well to make ourselves his willing tools.
Sometimes,i avoid wearing dhoti-kurta if i need to go somewhere else too after the temple program.But,now i tell myself-’Nothing stops me from carrying a pair of clothes’.Thanks for serving Guru Maharaj and a source of inspiration for me.Thank u.
one has to be practical in this day and age and whatever helps us in our preaching endeavours is successful. It is not the external dress that matters but the change of heart.

Recently during one of the morning Bhagavatam class, I heard the speaker mentioning that the when a spiritual master deals lovingly with one of his disciple it is to be considered that he his dealing the same way with his other disciples too.
